LONDON - Sightseeing : Royal London - Morning Tour

Panoramic Tour of London, including Parliament Square, Trafalgar Square and the Changing of the Guard.

The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton was held on 29th April, 2011 at
Westminster Abbey. In celebration of this exciting day, our morning panoramic tour of London will include
much of the Royal Wedding Procession Route from Clarence House to Westminster Abbey.

Kensington Palace, Parliament Square and Westminster Abbey:

- Our tour begins with a panoramic drive up to Kensington Palace, former home of Diana, Princess
of Wales. Well see the Royal Albert Hall and Albert Memorial before heading down to Trafalgar Square,
along Whitehall, past the Prime Minister's Residence at Downing Street and around Parliament Square,
where we'll see Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and, of course, Westminster Abbey.

Buckingham Palace and the Changing of the Guard:

- We head to St James' Park and Buckingham Palace to see the colourful ceremony of the Changing
of the Guard. Accompanied by a military band, a detachment of the Queen's Foot Guard march to
Buckingham Palace in their bearskins and red tunics, and a change with the Old Guard.

The tour finishes at Trafalgar Square.

DAY 1 – PARIS

Half day tour of Paris and Montmartre with private English speaking driver/guide. Discover Paris and its history
through the city’s major landmarks and monuments: Madeleine, Opera, Vendôme Square, Concorde, Arch of
Triumph and Champs-Elysées, Invalids, Louvre, and Notre-Dame. Then let yourself be enchanted by the charm of
Montmartre where this excursion ends with a walking visit of this artistic and always lively bohemian quarter: Sacré-
Coeur, Moulin de la Galette, the vineyards and Place du Tertre. Evening at leisure. (Bed)

DAY 3 – PARIS
HOTEL D’AUBUSSON

Half day guided tour of the Louvre with your private English speaking guide. Evening dinner cruise with premier
seating at the front of the boat to admire “Paris by Night” whilst enjoying a lovely dinner. (Bed,Dinner)

DAY 4 – PARIS / NORMANDY
LA CHENEVIERE

Meet with your English speaking driver and travel to Normandy. Stop en route in Giverny to visit Monet’s delightful
garden and in Rouen to visit the Old Town and the Cathedral which so inspired the same Monet. End your day near
the Landing Beaches, at La Cheneviere. (Bed,Dinner)

DAY 5 – NORMANDY

Full day tour of the Landing Beaches and visit of the Caen Memorial Museum. (Bed,Dinner)

DAY 6 – NORMANDY / BRITTANY
CHATEAU RICHEUX

Today travel to Mont St Michel and enjoy a guided tour of the Abbey. Then across the bay to charming Cancale,
famous for its oysters. (Bed)

DAY 7 – BRITTANY / LOIR VALLEY
CHATEAU DE LA BARRE

Travel into the Loire Valley via Le Mans. This city is famous for its car racing circuit, but it also has a lesser known
Old Town well worth a visit. Discover a troglodyte village and the refreshing wines of the Small Loir Valley (not to

be confused with the Loire Valley!). This evening you are the guests of Comte and Comtesse de Vanssay in their
ancestral Chateau de la Barre. Dinner with your hosts tonight in the Chateau’s formal dining room. (Bed,Dinner)

DAY 8 – LOIRE VALLEY
CHATEAU DE LA BARRE

Today is spent exploring the amazing Chateaux of the Loire Valley, such as Chenonceau, Amboise, Chambord. For
garden aficionados, a visit of Villandry is a must, and we can also arrange visits of smaller private gardens. A great
lunch stop is at Leonardo da Vinci’s last home, Clos Luce, and discover Renaissance cuisine at the inn on the grounds.

Today is spent either visiting more castles, or we could arrange a cooking class, wine tasting, visiting a mushroom
cave, or even for you to race your own “dream car” such as a Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche on Le Mans’ race track!

Travel back towards Paris to Chantilly, for a visit of the Chantilly Castle, with its exquisite collection of Italian and

Canal Cruising in Burgundy: Wine & Fine Dining in the Heart of France

DAY 1/SUN :PARIS / DIJON / EMBARK CRUISE
LUXURY PENICHE

At 1:00 pm you are met in the lobby of the Paris hotel and transferred to the Gare de Lyon Station for the First- Class
TGV (Train Gran Vitesse – High Speed Train). As you arrive Dijon, the Captain awaits on the platform to accompany
you to the Luxury Peniche (a deluxe canal barge – we offer many from which to choose) at anchor in Dijon. Enjoy a
champagne reception, an introduction to the crew and the first of many gourmet dinners. (D)

DAY 2/MON : FLEURY-SUR-OUCHE
LUXURY PENICHE

Begin the journey into the heart of “La France profonde” with a morning cruise to the village of Fleury-sur-
Ouche. The rest of the day is devoted to exploring the Cote d’Or wine area south of the canal. Drive through the
gorgeous “Route des Grand Crus” vineyards, followed by a visit to Chateau du Clos de Vougeot. The original building
was a 12th-century winery built by Cistercian Monks; the old wine presses are on display, as well as rooms where the
monks lived and stored the wine. Return to your Luxury Peniche for dinner on board. (B,L,D)

DAY 3/TUE : GISSEY-SUR-OUCHE

After breakfast, drive the short distance back to Dijon for the lively local food market, shop for antiques on rue
Verriere or explore the medieval town center. The 14th-century Ducal Palace dominates the architecture of this
historic town. In the afternoon cruise further into the beautiful valley of the Ouche with its limestone cliffs, wooded
hills and majestic chateaux looming in the distance. Dinner is at the Chateau de Gilly, an old priory converted into
one of Burgundy’s finest restaurants. (B,L,D)

DAY 4/WED : LA BUSSIERE-SUR-OUCHE

Start the day floating through gorgeous scenery to La Bussiere, mooring near the gardens of an old abbey. This
afternoon return to the Cote d’Or vineyards for a personal introduction to winegrowers and a special private tasting.
There may be time for a visit to a chateau where the owner collects and displays antique airplanes! Dinner on board

DAY 5/THU : POINT D’OUCHE

Walk the towpath, cycle into the passing towns or just laze on the deck as you continue your journey on the Canal de
Bourgogne, completed in 1836. In the afternoon explore Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. Tour the remarkable,
perfectly preserved Hospice de Beaune, the 14th-century hospital in use until the early 20th century. Shop for wine,
gifts, tapestry pillows and accessories – or just sit in the square and enjoy life. Then back on board for dinner. (B,L,D)

DAY 6/FRI : VANDENESSE-EN-AUXOIS

Cruise past the dramatic village and chateau of Chateauneuf-en-Auxois perched high on a hill overlooking the canal.
After a delicious lunch of Burgundian fare, return to explore this charming medieval town. A festive Captain’s dinner

DAY 7/SAT : DIJON / PARIS

Transfer to the Dijon train station where you board the TGV train, arriving back at the Gare de Lyon Station in Paris

Day 1, Sunday: MADRID
Arrival at Madrid airport. After clearing simple immigration and customs formalities, you will be transferred
to your First Class hotel. It is suggested you take advantage of the free time to get to know one of Europe's
most dynamic capital cities. In the early evening, enjoy an “Illuminated Madrid” drive through the bustling
streets of the old city, ending at the historical and impressive Plaza Mayor. This area is home to some of the
most typical restaurants and taverns, which serve the delicious "tapas". PREMIUM PACKAGE includes a

Day 2, Monday: MADRID
Buffet breakfast. This morning's escorted sightseeing tour will allow you to get a glimpse of some of
Madrid's most outstanding attractions, like the Puerta del Sol, the magnificent fountains of Neptune and
Cibeles, the stately Alcala Gate, the busy Gran Via, the Plaza de España and the Plaza de Oriente. Free time
for luncheon on your own. PREMIUM PACKAGE includes a Lunch today. Highly recommended this
afternoon, is an optional tour to the Imperial former capital city of Toledo, where you will be escorted
through its narrow cobblestone streets, soaking up the medieval atmosphere. Touring will include the
interior of the magnificent Gothic cathedral and a visit to St. Tome Church, where El Greco's masterpiece
painting is displayed. There will also be some time for shopping for the unique typical local artisanry.

Day 3, Tuesday: MADRID-MERIDA-SEVILLE
Buffet breakfast. Departure through the once-remote region of Extremadura, home to many of
the “conquistadors”. Arrival in ancient Merida. Free time for lunch. (Lunch included in PREMIUM
PACKAGE.) In the afternoon, visit the impressive Roman amphitheatre archeological site before continuing
to Seville. Accommodations.

Day 4, Wednesday: SEVILLE
Buffet breakfast. This morning's marvelous tour will explore this gracious and charming city, Spain's third
largest. See the Tower of Gold, the tranquil and extensive Maria Luisa Park, the quaint Santa Cruz Quarter,
and finally the huge cathedral (one of the world's largest) with its Giralda Tower (a former minaret). Free
time for luncheon on your own. PREMIUM PACKAGE includes lunch today. The afternoon is free to
continue to explore or shop. This evening an optional Flamenco Show is suggested, with the enjoyment of

Day 5, Thursday: SEVILLE-CORDOBA-GRANADA
Buffet breakfast. Depart to Cordoba. Visit one of the world’s marvels, the former Great Mosque (now a
cathedral). Free time for lunch on your own. Continue to Granada, passing thousands of acres of olive
groves. PREMIUM PACKAGE includes dinner tonight. This evening, an excellent suggestion would be to
visit (optional) the quaint and typical Albaicin quarter, where n customs, music and wine join to create an
enchanting atmosphere. (PREMIUM PACKAGE includes this visit).

Day 6, Friday : GRANADA-MADRID

Buffet breakfast. This morning, enjoy an escorted tour of the magnificent Alhambra and the verdant Gardens
of the Generalife. Departure to Madrid, crossing the Plains of La Mancha, land of Don Quixote. Arrival in
Madrid. Accommodations.

Day 7, Saturday: MADRID - DEPARTURE
Buffet breakfast. Pre-arranged transfer to Madrid airport at the proper time to check-in for your trans-
Atlantic flight .

7. Belgium

Holland, Luxembourg & Belgium At Leisure

Day 1 - Arrive in Amsterdam, Holland. The day is free to rest or to start exploring the Dutch capital. At 6 pm, meet
your Tour Director and traveling companions for a welcome dinner at your hotel. (D)

Day 2 - Amsterdam. Start your discovery of Holland with a morning sightseeing tour of the capital with a Local
Guide. Enjoy a CANAL CRUISE along gabled merchant houses and arched drawbridges reminiscent of the Golden
Age, and the strikingly modern buildings of a young-at-heart city. Next, visit the fabulous RIJKSMUSEUM with
priceless paintings by Rembrandt and other Dutch masters. Then, time to explore Dam Square and the City centre
on your own, or join your Tour Director for a visit to a major DIAMOND CENTER to appreciate how a rough mineral
is transformed into a sparkling jewel. Afternoon at leisure. You may want to join an optional excursion to the fishing
village of Volendam at the former Zuiderzee. (B)

Day 3 - Amsterdam. Excursion to Aalsmeer, Delft, The Hague & Keukenhof. A scenic day. Start with an early visit to
the impressive AALSMEER FLOWER AUCTION, where more than 17 million flowers and two million plants are sold
each day. Next, continue to the world-renowned ROYAL DELFT POTTERY FACTORY with its magnificent collection of
hand-painted earthenware pieces, and see skilled craftsmen at work. After an orientation drive of The Hague, seat
of the Dutch government and the International Court of Justice, continue to the famous bulbfields of South Holland
and visit the extraordinary flower park of KEUKENHOF (departures 0407-0512) before returning to Amsterdam.
Departures 0519-0929 visit ANNE FRANK HOUSE instead. (B)

Day 4 - Amsterdam - Venlo - Bastogne, Belgium - Luxembourg. Today's highlight is your included visit to the once-
in-a-decade World Horticultural Exhibition, the FLORIADE. Next, cross the Belgium border and stop in Bastogne at
the AMERICAN MEMORIAL of the Battle of the Bulge. Late-afternoon arrival in Luxembourg, the capital of one of
Europe's smallest sovereign states. (B,D)

Day 5 - Luxembourg. Morning sightseeing with your Local Guide covers the city's past and present, from the
fortifications and the Old Town, perched high atop a sandstone outcrop with striking views of the Alzette and
Pétrusse Gorges, to the modern administrative center of European institutions. Visit the CATHEDRAL OF OUR LADY,
see the turreted Grand Ducal Palace, take a stroll along the panoramic cliff path known as "the most beautiful
balcony in Europe," and see the GRAVE OF GENERAL PATTON. An optional excursion to Trier in Germany can be
arranged. (B)

Day 6 - Luxembourg - Waterloo, Belgium - Brussels. A highlight visit today: drive through the Belgian Ardennes to
WATERLOO, where Napoleon was defeated and European history changed course. Your Lion Hamlet Pass gives you
access to the Visitor's Center, where the Lion Mound, the films, and the Panorama help you relive the famous Battle
of Waterloo. Arrive in Brussels, the thriving capital, where your orientation features the Rue Royale, the Parliament
Buildings, the Royal Palace, and Saint Michel Cathedral. Admire GRAND'PLACE with its baroque guild houses, the
gothic Town Hall, and take pictures of the statue of Manneken Pis. (B)

Day 7 - Brussels. Excursion to Bruges. Most of today is dedicated to Bruges, one of Western Europe's most perfectly
preserved medieval towns. A CANAL CRUISE (weather permitting) will give you your first feel of this delightful
town. Your Local Guide will show you the Madonna of Bruges by Michelangelo in the CHURCH OF OUR LADY and

the famous MARKET SQUARE. Also enjoy a traditional LACE DEMONSTRATION. Then, time for souvenir hunting and
exploring on your own before returning to Brussels. (B)

Day 8 - At Leisure in Brussels. Full day at leisure. You may want to join a half-day optional excursion to Antwerp, the
second-largest Belgian city and one of the world's most important ancient seaports. Visit the famous Rockox House,
where the art collector and friend of Rubens lived; the Plantin-Moretus Museum, a permanent exhibition dedicated
to the early days of book printing in the 16th century; the Grote Markt; and the Church of Our Lady to admire two
of the most important triptychs by Rubens. Tonight, an included farewell dinner is the perfect way to celebrate the

Day 9 - Brussels. Your vacation ends with breakfast this morning. (B)
