Medical Considerations:
Consult your physician regarding anti malaria precautions which should be taken if you are visiting the Kruger National Park or Zululand areas of South Africa or the countries of Botswana, Zimbabwe or Zambia. Remember to pack any chronic medication you might require. If you suffer from asthma please do no forget to pack your inhaler. Medication could be considered for the alleviation of allergies due to grass seeds , pollen etc. while on safari.

Passports and Visa Considerations:
It is important to ensure that your passport is valid for a period of at least six months after your departure from Southern Africa. Please also ensure that your passport has open pages on which you can be stamped into and out of the various countries of Southern Africa.

What Should I bring:
Light comfortable clothing
At least one warm jacket or sweater for it might be chilly on evening safaris
If you are traveling on the Blue Train, Roves Rail or staying in one of the top 5 star hotels a dinner jacket will be required.
Hat or Cap
Binoculars
Allergy Medication
Comfortable walking shoes
Sunscreen with a SPF of 30 or higher
A small flashlight
Some US dollar cash if you are traveling into Zambia, Zimbabwe or Botswana
Photographic equipment and enough film/memory
Converters/Adapters for South African 220V power supply
Insect repellant ( Aerosol seems to be the easiest to apply)
